Neck Lift Surgery
Let Your Expressions Remain, Let the Fatigue of Time Ease.
Our face is the most visible stage of our inner world. Our thoughts, emotions, habits, and every small memory accumulated over time leave a mark on our face. Expressions are the essence of life; but the traces of fatigue carried by these expressions can sometimes reflect a different mood than we actually are.
Botox, precisely at this point, softens the narrative on your face without erasing the lived experience, allowing you to re-introduce yourself to yourself. With a quiet touch…
What is Botox?
Botox (Botulinum Toxin) is a medical procedure that temporarily blocks facial expressions, preventing the formation of wrinkles. By temporarily limiting muscle movement in the applied area, it softens lines and makes the face appear more rested and refreshed.
However, this procedure is not merely a technical procedure; it is an art form between expression and balance.
Which Areas Is Botox Used In?
● Forehead lines (horizontal lines)
● Glabella – “frown lines”
● Crow's feet – fine wrinkles at the corner of the eyes
● Bunny lines (nasal bridges)
● Above-lip lines (smoker's lines)
● Neck bands (platysma bands)
● Teeth clenching / Masseter Botox
● Therapeutic use: Migraine, excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis), bruxism. Each area requires a separate plan. The facial architecture and movement dynamics must be carefully analyzed to ensure effective and natural application of Botox.
When and Why is Botox Used?
Aging leaves its mark not only with the passage of time but also with the constant work of facial muscles. Botox applications:
● Before wrinkles appear (for preventative purposes)
● To soften existing expression lines
● To alleviate tired and stiff expressions
● To make the face appear more rested, calm, and youthful
● For a slimming or contouring effect in certain areas (masseter, chin, etc.) without obliterating your facial expression or damaging your character. It is applied solely to achieve a more rested version of you.
Things to Consider Before and After the Procedure
Things to Consider Before the Procedure:
● Blood-thinning medications (aspirin, ibuprofen, etc.) and supplements (such as vitamin E, ginkgo biloba, omega-3) should be discontinued 3-5 days before the procedure. This is important to reduce the risk of bruising.
● Do not lie face down for the first 4 hours; keep your head upright.
● Strenuous exercise, facial massage, excessive facial expressions, sauna, and Turkish bath should be avoided for 24 hours after the procedure.
● Activities such as hot showers and steam baths should be avoided for the first 1-2 days.
● Make-up should be applied for at least 12 hours.
● Pressure should be avoided on the treated area.
● Mild redness, swelling, or bruising may occur; this usually resolves within 1-3 days.
● 7-14 days should be allowed for results to become visible; the need for additional treatments should be evaluated at the follow-up appointment.
● It is recommended to avoid alcohol consumption before the procedure.
● Any active skin infection, cold sores, or irritation should be reported to the doctor.
● If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, the procedure should be postponed.
● On the day of the procedure, the skin should be clean, free of makeup, and moisture.
● Avoid activities such as hot showers and steam baths for the first 1-2 days.
● Wait at least 12 hours before applying makeup.
● Avoid applying pressure to the treated area.
● Mild redness, swelling, or bruising may occur; this usually resolves within 1-3 days.
● Wait 7-14 days for results to become apparent; the need for additional treatments should be assessed at your follow-up appointment.
How is Botox Administered?
Botox is injected into the targeted muscle groups using special, fine-tipped needles in very small doses. Anesthetic cream can be applied before the procedure. The application time is usually 10-15 minutes, and you can return to your daily life immediately afterward.
The effects begin to be felt within 3-4 days, with the full effect occurring within 10-14 days. The average duration varies between 3-6 days.
Approach: A Quiet Intervention, A Calm Expression
The most valuable aspect in aesthetics is making the unseen visible. Botox represents balance, elegance, and simplicity, not exaggeration. The face is a character. Every line carries meaning. My application approach aims to lighten the expression without interfering with these meanings. In other words, your smile remains, only unnecessary wrinkles are silenced.
